In the NFL would you rather play at home or on the road?? While some teams seemingly play better on the road, most home crowds give teams quite an advantage.
We will be simulating that home-field advantage with a Crowd Boost for Playoff games. The home teams will get a boost of nearly an extra player: a whole 10 points!
So if you earn the top seed in your conference, you can count on home-field advantage until the championship!
The Superbowl is always at a neutral site, so while you might have done better during the season, your home fan's won't be able to help you here...

This rule was the first real thing that caught my eye going through the rules. At first I thought it was too high, after thinking about it a bit more I think it is just right.

I think it's a cool wrinkle but also like that it's limited to the more 'intense' divisional and playoff games. It adds a new dimension to divisional matchups, making it more important to preserve your home field advantage and more meaningful to steal road games - for example, I start the season on the road at Dallas. Coming out of there with a win facing their crowd boost would be a big win with them having to come to Washington later in the year.

Ditto everyone else, nice advantage to the teams who have performed well all season as opposed to the wild-cards.

We havent been able to find a way to include the crowd boost until after the matchup is finished so everyone just keep in mind that if you are away you are down an extra 10 points. just makin sure no one is shocked when we change scores
