For those teams who don't make the playoffs, there is a consolation playoff for your amusement.
This playoff will in no way affect the standings, or draft position. But we would still like teams to manage their rosters, keep players that are hurt on the bench. All in all start your best team, this is for those teams to fight for their dignity, cause who wants to be the worst of the worst...
The Consolation Playoff will be a bit unique, with group play in weeks 13, 15, and 16, and then the winner of the Eastern Conference group will face the winner of the Western Conference group in the Conference Playoff finals.
Matchups will be the three teams playing each other, with only three teams one team will have to play the other conference, they will play the team with the same seed as them in the other conference.
week 13
East vs. West #1 seed vs #1 seed
East - #2 seed vs. #3
West - #2 seed vs. #3
week 14
East vs. West #2 seed vs #2 seed
East - #1 seed vs. #3
West - #1 seed vs. #3
week 15
East vs. West #3 seed vs #3 seed
East - #1 seed vs. #2
West - #1 seed vs. #2
week 16
Consolation Playoff Championship
East Group Play Winner vs. West Group Play Winner
Playoff seeding will be determined similar to the real playoffs
Group Play Tiebreaker:
1. Record (in Group Play)
2. Head to Head (in Group Play)
3. Total Points Scored (in Group Play)
(There will be no crowd boost in the Consolation Playoff)
(Winner Receives a 4th round compensatory pick!!!)
Team will have to announce their pick at that time, team will not select a player on the clock. Player will need to either be given to Commish in advance, or announced after the 4.14 pick is made. 5.1 pick will have to wait. If 5.1 goes before our 4.15 consolation pick is made then that player may be awarded back to the team selecting at 4.15. 5.1 would then have to re-select. 12 hr pick limit still applies here
